RA. ONE brings US, London, Paris, China & Bangkok closer

When Shahrukh Khan said that he was looking at RA.ONE to be the biggest film ever to be coming out of India, he indeed seemed to have done all his calculations before making such tall claims. This is the reason why when he allocated a budget in an excess of 100 crores for his VFX heavy action entertainer (some trade sources even peg the budget at a staggering 125 crores), he made sure that he put the money where the mouth is, what with the visual effects alone costing a bomb with the bills running into crores.

"

Since the film is a super-hero saga, competition of RA. ONE would be with the likes of SPIDERMAN, SUPERMAN and BATMAN series. Also, for Indian audience which has been exposed to AVATAR and 2012 now, there isn't anything lesser which would be acceptable.

"Yes, Shahrukh realises that and after due deliberation, he along with director Anubhav Sinha short listed companies all over the globe to work on different pieces of RA. ONE. Every visual effects company comes with its own speciality," continues the source, "A lot of outsourcing has happened to as many as three companies in USA and India each with London, Paris, China and Bangkok contributing as well. It is truly turning out to be a global project."

Confirms Anubhav Sinha who is mighty excited about the reactions to the First Look that was unveiled last week and is now supervising film's extensive post production that would continue for next six months, "Yes, as we talk, there are close to a dozen odd companies across the globe making RA. ONE for us. Never before has a Hindi film seen such collaboration.
